Following Jesus

There is more…

All of us are searching for more in life. More money, more purpose, more love. We all long for something more. but what if what we’re searching for isn’t found in anything of this world? What if what we long for isn’t found in a single moment or experience, but on a journey instead?

Choosing to Following Jesus is the first step in that journey. but it’s the most important choice you can make.

Surrendering your life to Jesus is the first step in your life-long journey with Jesus; it’s the starting line to experiencing the more Jesus has for you.

The bible says in Romans 10:9 that if you “declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Becoming a follower of Jesus isn’t about saying a special prayer, but by living a life that says “Jesus is Lord of my life” and believing deep down in your heart that Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sin and was raised back to life three days later. If this is a decision you want to make right now, take some time and just talk to God. We’ve included a sample prayer below to help guide you, but ultimately, this is your conversation with God.

Sample Prayer:
Jesus,
I believe that you are the one, true God; the true King over all heaven and earth.
Thank you for loving me so much that you wanted to save me, even when I didn’t follow you.
I know that I’ve not been perfect. I’ve messed up and sinned against you.
Thank you for dying on the cross for me, paying for my sins and giving me a way to be close to you.
Please forgive me for going my own way and following my own paths.
I give you my heart. You are the Lord of my life. Help me to follow you every day
